About Tamara
Tamara Pester Schklar built her career protecting ideas, names, and reputations. As founder of TMBTQ, a boutique trademark law firm, she spent over two decades guiding business owners — from multi-generational family companies to global brands — in protecting their intellectual property and ensuring their advertising complied with federal law.
Recognized as a Colorado Super Lawyer in trademark law since 2020, Tamara has served as outside counsel to international corporations, senior counsel on complex litigation, and an expert witness in high-stakes trademark disputes. Her expertise extends to emerging issues such as protecting works created with artificial intelligence, positioning her clients at the forefront of today’s legal landscape.
In 2025, she sold TMBTQ and remains "Senior Counsel" to the firm, working with select clients on high-impact legal work, as well as consulting for law firm owners who want to scale profitably or prepare for sale, and educating through her Learn Trademarks platform.

Beyond the Office:
A Denver native, Tamara embraces the mountain lifestyle — skiing in winter, hiking in summer, and seeking out spa escapes year-round. She shares her love of travel, treasure hunting, and luxury ski culture through her social media brand @snowgrrl5280. She and her husband, Brett, support local and national charities through a Donor Advised Fund.
